Kansas City at a Glance
Kansas City straddles the Kansas–Missouri state line. Known for jazz, barbecue, fountains, the Chiefs, the Royals, and people who love everything Kansas City (Ted Lasso, Ant Man, and Tech N9ne to name a few!). And of course, we’re the Soccer Capital of America.
Kansas City Soccer – Welcome to socKCer.com
Kansas City has been called the Soccer Capital of America. Home to one of the founding clubs of Major League Soccer, Sporting KC (also claiming the longest MLS sellout streak at 125 games). The first soccer-specific stadium built for a professional women’s team, the KC Current (who in 2025 achieved the fastest playoff clinch in league history). Three straight years leading the Major Arena Soccer League in attendance with the Comets. That’s not to mention the incredible youth, high school and college talent. And soon to be more internationally known come 2026.
Kansas City’s soccer culture is driven by the people. That’s why we’re hoping to create a space for your voices.
